Last week, we shared some exciting updates about XPSR-24 Utility. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at the XPSR-24 Level-Up System.
Part 1 - Overview of the Level Up System
The XPSR-24 Leveling system is part of our Legacy focus when it comes to building utility into our products. Our concept for an “Evolving Asset” transforms ownership into a shared journey between holder, IP, and community – encouraging holders, would-be holders, and on-lookers to engage with XSPR-24 and the ecosystem around it. Together, we can build upon the value of each XPSR-24 asset in a way that is both rewarding and exciting.
Leveling up each XPSR-24 asset unlocks:
- Evolving Art: At Level 5, the Stigma layer for all non Rogue XPSR-24 assets will be unlocked. These “Stigmas” are the expressive visual representation of various taints, ailments, or corruption inflicted upon the operative by the mythics they face.
Once unlocked, the on-chain asset will be updated, however holders are able to download both their original image and their Stigma layers separately. - Scaling Ecosystem Utilities: All other utilities across the Occultical Ecosystem will also scale according to level. These utilities, including but not limited to future Access, Boosters, and Airdrops will have their own unique scaling value by XPSR level and will be revealed over time.
- XPSR (Exposure) Points: Every week, specially on Mondays at 00:00 UTC, all XPSR-24 assets will receive XPSR-24 Points. Points awarded will vary on the Level of the specific asset.
All XPSR Points may be exchanged for exclusive benefits and rewards in within Occultical ecosystem in time.
Do note that the RIFTSTORM and the Occultical ecosystem is constantly expanding, new features and unlocks may be revealed in the future.
Part 2 - How TO LEVEL YOUR XPSR-24
XPSR-24 assets can be leveled up by collecting Experience (EXP).
EXP can be earned in three ways:
- Holding (Soft-Staking)
- Trading
- Questing
Part 2.1 Holding (Soft-Staking)
Holding (Soft Staking) for EXP
You can earn Experience by simply holding your XPSR-24 assets in a wallet connected to your Confiction Account. Everyday your XPSR-24 asset remains in the wallet unlisted, the asset-specific Streak Counter will increase by +1.
If you list, trade, or transfer the asset out of your wallet the Streak Counter will be reset to 0 and no Experience will be gained by Holding.
EXP accumulation by Soft-Staking officially begins on December 19, 2024, at 4PM UTC.

Daily Gains & Streak Simulation
Increasing your Streak Counter applies the above formula to your Daily EXP gain.
After reaching a Streak for 120 consecutive days, your Daily EXP gain from Holding will be capped at 500 a day.
Listing, Trading, & Resuming
Newly listed and traded XPSR-24 assets will start with a Streak Counter of 0. All previously earned Levels and Experience will remain with the XPSR-24 asset in its new wallet.
Do note that for as long as the XPSR-24 asset is listed, no Experience can be gained by Holding.
FICT ZERO Benefits:
Exclusive to FICT ZERO holders, a 33% EXP Booster is applied to all XPSR-24 Assets currently gaining EXP in the same wallet as a FICT ZERO asset. Only one FICT ZERO booster will active per wallet, multiple FICT ZERO assets in the same wallet will not stack, and the daily maximum limit of 500 EXP a day will applies.
Part 2.2. Trading
Trading for EXP
Every transaction involving XPSR-24 generates EXP for the XPSR-24 Asset. The system reviews transactions over a rolling three-day window, a threshold value is counted based on the value of top 24% in the rolling three day. If a transaction’s value meets or exceeds the threshold value, an additional EXP is awarded. Additionally, daily transactions in the Top 10% (in terms of value) receive an extra bonus, credited the following day.
Daily Maximums & Trade Limits
While there are no inherent limits per XPSR-24 asset, the maximum EXP that can be gained from transactions in a single day is 1,500, excluding the Top 10% bonus.
Part 2.3 Quests
Questing for EXP
Long-time users of the Occultical Portal and Confiction Labs products will be are no strangers to our questing system. To celebrate the launch of XPSR-24, a new set of XPSR-24 assignments will be made available to all users starting January 1, 2025.
All XPSR-24 related quests will be marked by the XPSR-24 branded yellow and XPSR-24 logo. While all users can participate and complete the new XPSR-24 assignments, XPSR-24 holders with at least 1 unlisted XPSR-24 asset in their wallet will receive additional EXP and XPSR EXP.
Please note that multiple XPSR-24 assets do not increase the amount of EXP rewarded, but Special Assignments have offer bonus rewards for having XPSR-24 assets with specific traits held unlisted in their wallets.
XPSR-24 assignments will be available through the Assignment Dashboard and will feature three categories:
- Weekly Assignments
- Event-Based Assignments
- Special Assignments
Each quest offers varying rewards based on its difficulty and objectives.
Collecting Protocol Stamps for EXP
Representing all five of the protocol-aligned secret organizations within the Occultical Universe, each XPSR-24 asset has set of five stamps to collect:
- Mythic Protocol
- Emporium
- Naga
- Maledictum
- Interregnum
Protocol Stamps are attached to each XPSR-24 asset when the asset enters a holder’s wallet with a Confiction Labs account and an an assigned Organization.
Holders who have not received their assigned Organizations may do so by completing the Protocol Induction Process to earn your first faction stamp.
Protocol Tour of Duty
To collect the remaining stamps, XPSR-24 assets can be traded to other holders who have the corresponding Organizations attached to their account, or the Please note that retaking the Protocol Induction battery can be retaken once every 30-days.
Upon collecting all four of the Emporium, Naga, Maledictum, and Interregnum stamps, users will receive a 10,000 XPSR point bonus.
An additional 2000 may be earned once the illusive Mythic Protocol stamp has been unlocked.
Part 2.4 Legacy Gains
With the launch of our EXP features and tools, a pressure test allowed us to look into Legacy actions attached each XPSR-24.
To celebrate the flurry of activity and the amazing community we have built together, we will apply a retroactively tracked EXP bonus based on XPSR-24 actions in the last month.
All soft-staking or trading actions done prior to the official launch of our system will now also produce a small amount of bonus EXP gain with a maximum of 1450 EXP to be awarded.
